Alumina Crucible (Ceramic Crucible) is the most commonly used crucible in TGA experiments. It is relatively stable for most samples and doesn’t react with the samples. In the range of room temperature to 1650°C, the alumina crucible has no thermal reaction. During the TGA test, the crucible must be open. But before the actual test, it is also very important to seal the crucible,because this can prevent the sample from contacting the air before the test and prevent the moisture in the sample from evaporating before the test. The crucible can be drilled before the experiment, and this process can be done well on the autosampler during the experiment. 1. High purity, (Al2O3≥95%) 2. Temperature tolerance, 1600°C for long term application; 1800°C for short term application, 3. Resistant to sudden cold and hot, un-explosive, 4. High density of slip casting. 5. Application of Ceramic Crucible :
1. Corundum crucible is composed of porous molten alumina, which is strong and melt-resistant.
2. Corundum crucible is suitable for melting samples with weak alkaline substances such as anhydrous Na2CO3, but not strong alkaline substances such as Na2O2, NaOH and acidic substances such as K2S2O7.
